FEES
Our club is able to operate on a small amount of monthly payments due to the support of several local sponsors. Thanks to our sponsors in the 2019 season, we were able to lower the cost of our initial club registration fee from $60 to $35 to reduce the initial cost of playing. A full breakdown of our payments is listed below which helps show where exactly your money goes. All fees are spread evenly throughout the club with top priorities addressed first.
Our fees are extremely low, as many of our coaches receive smaller payments than other clubs provide. We do this in order to keep our costs to play low for all players.
Once-per-season fees
$35 club registration fee: provides insurance and registration to the state for each soccer season
Monthly fees
$60 team fee: provides coaching payments for each month as well as coaching education to improve the quality of our coaching staff; it also pays for field maintenance and new equipment
League fee: this payment varies based on the number of players on the team as well as which league the team plays in, and this fee is split evenly amongst all players on the team
Tournament fee: this payment depends on if the team decides to attend any tournaments throughout the season, and the cost is split evenly amongst all players on the team
Uniform fees
$80 uniform fee: all players are responsible for purchasing their own uniforms through our store on soccer.com. These uniforms will not change frequently, so this fee is not payed each season.
Discounts and financial aid
Practice-player discount: monthly fees are cut in half to $30 a month. Practice-players will participate in all practices, possibly in scrimmages, but will not play in matches. Each team can decide to roles of a practice-player, but the main objective is to improve the fundamentals of soccer at a reduced fee.
Sibling discount: monthly fees are reduced $10 for each sibling associated with McMinn United FC's competitive teams. For example, if the older sibling is on our 2005-2006 boys team and the younger sibling is on our 2010-2011 boys team, the monthly fees for each player becomes $50 rather than $60. With three siblings, monthly fees would be $40 per player and so on.

Financial aid: thanks to our generous sponsors, our club is able to assist families in need with reduced monthly payments. These "scholarships" are a means to allow more players to be involved with the sport that we love. Financial aid is decided on by our board members, and they are distributed based on each family's needs.
